Therapeutic Abhyanga

Therapeutic Abhyanga follows the same principles as the traditional style but is adapted to specific complaints, such as:

  • Muscle pain

  • Chronic tension

  • Circulatory issues

Oils and techniques are chosen according to the client’s individual imbalance and may include deeper pressure or focused work on specific areas.

Shiro Abhyanga

Shiro Abhyanga focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders only.

Using medicated oils, it helps to:

  • Relieve mental stress

  • Reduce insomnia

  • Ease headaches

  • Release neck and shoulder tension

  • Nourish the scalp and nervous system

The Abhyanga massage differs from other techniques because it’s not just a muscular or relaxation treatment — it’s a therapeutic procedure integrated into Ayurvedic medicine (an ancient Indian tradition) and follows very specific principles.

What makes Abhyanga unique:

1. Abundant use of medicated oils
A generous amount of warm vegetable oil (often sesame or coconut, infused with medicinal herbs) is used.
The oil is considered a remedy, helping to nourish tissuesbalance energy (doshas), and support detoxification.

2. Balancing the Doshas
Each massage is tailored to the individual’s energetic constitution (Vata, Pitta, Kapha).
Oil choice, temperature, and rhythm are adapted to restore balance — unlike fixed Western massage protocols.

3. Rhythmic and continuous movements
Strokes are long, gentle, and repetitive, following the flow of blood, lymph, and energy (prana).

4. Holistic therapeutic intention
Abhyanga works simultaneously on body, mind, and spirit, restoring vitality, emotional balance, and mental clarity.
It is often part of broader Ayurvedic detox programs (Panchakarma).

5. Duration and immersion
Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes or more, creating a deeply meditative experience through rhythm, presence, and full attention.

Reiki

Energy for Balance and Well-Being

Reiki is an integrative energy therapy of Japanese origin that promotes physical, emotional, mental, and energetic balance through the channeling of universal life energy.

The treatment is applied through gentle hand placement or hovering, stimulating the body’s natural ability to restore harmony.

During a session, you remain fully clothed in a calm and safe environment, encouraging deep relaxation.
Reiki is non-religious and suitable for all ages. It is used as a complement to conventional medical and therapeutic care.

Benefits of Reiki

Reiki offers a holistic care experience, including:

  • Reduction of stress, anxiety, and tension

  • Deep relaxation and inner peace

  • Emotional balance and mental clarity

  • Increased energy and vitality

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Support for physical pain relief

  • Chakra and energetic field harmonization

  • Support during emotional and physical recovery

Reiki as a Complementary Therapy

Reiki works in a gentle and respectful way, honoring each person’s rhythm.
It does not replace medical or psychological treatment, but enhances other therapies as part of a conscious and integrative approach to care.

Allow yourself a moment of connection, balance, and self-care.
